    The Ancient Theater of Delphi

Get ready for one of the most magnificent sites in all of Greece after lunch. Delphi hosts an archeological site that is the footprint of an ancient town and sanctuary, featuring the Oracle of Delphi, temples and an ancient theatre and stadium.
The site is tall rather than long, and as I climbed each set of steps, I loved that there was something new and unique to discover - first a temple - then an amphitheatre, then a hidden, magnificent stadium.
What really takes the Delphie site to new heights is its location. You'll find the ruins perched among a dramatic mountain range that feels like you've stumbled into another world, making it easy to understand why they built an ancient sanctuary here. You can simply buy tickets at the office but beware, there is a bit of walking uphill on site.

    Tholos of Athena Pronaia

Outside of the main site, the Athena Pronaia Temple is a short drive away and another must-see. It's also free entrance, so opening times don't affect this site. Walk down the hill until you reach the circular temple looking over the drop of the mountain over the beautiful landscape.
This is the sort of spot you stop and ponder about life. It was quiet when I visited, so I got a bench all to myself to imagine the kings and princesses making use of this beautiful temple.

"To Patriko Mas" | Greek Mediterranean Restaurant

After the main archeological site of Delphi, drive into Delphi town, which is an equally beautiful experience of gorgeous streets and relaxing restaurants tucked into the mountain. To Patriko Mas offers a wonderful dinner with mountain views and traditional, delicious Greek food.
I ordered fish which was as fresh as I'd expect at a port town and placed me into the hunter-gatherer setting of this ancient town perfectly well. They're open every day of the week for dinner and you can make a booking through the contact details of their Facebook page.
