Mountain Cruising and History Hunting
On day three, you'll experience a bunch of magical, stunning and insightful sights on the path back to Athens. I was impressed by how well each of these sights guided m way back to Athens, all worth visiting and yet perfectly placed without much backtracking.
You'll begin exploring a cave and enjoying a hike near Delphi before visiting a monastery and indulging in lunch with a view. After lunch, you'll become even more acquainted with the dramatic mountain ranges of the region before discovering the history and culture of Thebes. In Thebes, you'll get your hit if history at the impressive Archeological museum before walking around town and finally enjoying a final dinner in Schimatari.

Corycian Cave
Start your final day with a walk through the wonderful Corycian Cave. The cave is part of a public park, so when you arrive, you can explore the inside of the cave and enjoy the views from the outside before continuing your walk through the beautiful nature.
While the cave wasn't very deep, it is a great example of humans interacting with natural marvels because when you enter, it feels like it was made for humans to seek shelter.

Karakolithos - Monument to the fallen - WWII
There's a beautiful and moving WW2 memorial in the area that makes for the perfect stop after lunch. It's the perfect spot to have a more personal moment, I stopped to pay mr respects to the soldiers that fought in the war and for the land. You can then soak up the land and enjoy the magic of the natural scenery afterwards as the memorial is located on a mountain top.

Archaeological Museum of Thebes
The next stop of the day will give you your dose of archeological history for the day - the Archaeological Museum of Thebes hosts amazing artifacts from the neolithic times through to recent times throughout the Thebes region. All of the insightful artifacts are displayed in a beautiful museum setting, well-organised to make your discovery easy. The museum is one every day of the week except for Tuesday.
This museum had less of an aim than the Archeology Museum in Olympia, but its diversity meant it could hold lots of great wonders to marvel over.
