A Day by the Elbe River and a Visit to Stade

The first stop after leaving Hamburg is this old but modern lighthouse, built in 1984. It offers a great view over the Elbe river and has a calm and relaxing atmosphere. What an easy way to wake up ;)

Drive to this parking lot in Stade, to explore the old city by foot.

Not only will the walk to this fountain lead you right through the old town of Stade, but the fountain itself is also amazing. It is called "The fisherman and his wife", and when you arrive you will see why. Also, the fountain is located on a pretty square with real cool architecture. So take a seat on a bench and let it sink in.

Tapas in Germany? At Tapao: yes! This super yummy tapas restaurant is only a 10-minute walk, and is located in a gorgeous building. The tapas is amazing, and the drinks they serve along with it is also great.
Open for lunch between 12-2.30pm, closed on Monday and Tuesday.

After lunch, walk back to your car and continue your trip.

From Stade, you will drive up North to this cute little beach in Drochtersen. There is a boat that shows the old harbor, and also a little beach where you can chill. Are you up for the challenge to take a dive into the Elbe river?

Before we head to the hotel, it is time for a little snack-stop. This bakery in Dorchtersen is known for its amazing pastries, so be sure to take your time and choose your favorite cake.

From sleeping right in the city center of Hamburg, to sleeping right in the center of peace and calm. This hotel is basically a landhof, with a good restaurant, nice bar and amazing rooms. You can park your car for free, and make sure to include a dinner reservation with your booking.

Before dinner, it is time for a short walk to this old building. Not only the walk over is pretty, but the people in Freiburg are also super nice. Take your time to walk around the old town before you head back to the hotel.

Once back in the hotel, it is time for dinner with a good night's sleep afterwards. See you tomorrow.
