    Caves, Cakes and Curvy Bridges - All in a Day’s Work in the Yorkshire Dales

    Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail

    A 15-minute drive will take you to Clapham where you can park at the Clapham Car Park for £4.50 for over two hours.
    From there, walk a couple of minutes to the start of the Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail where you'll begin your journey to Ingleborough Cave.

    Ingleborough Cave

    While Ingleborough Cave was only first discovered back in 1837 by intrepid Victorian explorers, the cave actually dates back a whopping 450 million years!
    You'll need to buy an entrance ticket which costs £13 for adults and £6.50 for children aged between 3 and 15 and this includes the cost of the ticket to walk the Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail.

    Ingleton Waterfalls Trail

    This wonderful 7km trail takes you along a breathtaking country trail to one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the area. You should allow for around two and a half hours to complete the trail and appreciate the magnificent beauty of the waterfall once you get there.
    Tickets to the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail cost £8 for adults and £4 for children and there is limited parking available free of charge at the start of the trailhead for ticketholders.

    White Scar Cave

    Just ten minutes up the road is White Scar Cave; yet another remarkable feat of nature on this awesome trip through the Yorkshire Dales.
    It's the longest show cave in Britain and the guided tour through the caves takes approximately 80 minutes.
    Tickets cost £14 for adults aged 16+ and £10 for children. It is not possible to pre-book tickets in advance as the caves can sometimes close on short notice due to temperamental weather.

    Opening times also vary but tours usually start at 10 AM until 3 PM on the hour, every hour Monday to Friday and 10.30 AM and 11 AM until 4 PM on the hour, every hour at the weekend.

    Ribblehead Viaduct

    Ribblehead Viaduct is one of the most iconic structures in the entire Yorkshire Dales National Park and it's famed for carrying the Settle-Carlisle Railway.
    It first opened all the way back in 1875 so not only is it an awesome piece of architecture in the heart of the national park, but it also holds quite a lot of historic significance, too.

    Once you've had fun snapping pictures of the incredible viaduct, it's time to head for a bite to eat in the town of Hawes where you'll be spending the night.
